Undergraduate Student Research
RVC students, like many undergraduate science students, are required to conduct individual research projects as part of their degree programmes.
Depending on their year and programme of study, such projects range from those focused on animal welfare and husbandry to clinical problems, and laboratory science to business processes.
Student projects are justified when they are meaningful on several levels. Ideally, in addition to contributing to the student's intellectual development and acquisition of professional skills, the project should also contribute new knowledge within its discipline domain. This may then 'add value' in the form of a scientific conference presentation and even a contribution to a paper published in a peer-reviewed journal.
